San Diego Lay Day

  On May 20, the tribe played hooky in honor of Aloha Sunday co-founder Kahana Kalama's birthday. We spent the day hopping around to some of his favorite spots in San Diego and documented our shenanigans on Instagram. We had a blast doing so and decided that this little adventure deserved a permanent home on the blog. Stop #1 is the newly opened Holsem Coffee. The beautiful interior is spacious, the staff is welcoming, the coffee (and pastries) are delicious and the owners are amazing people... But our favorite thing about Holsem Coffee is that it's located a block away from the North Park Flagship. In Good Company: Quartyard SD

Over the past few months we’ve been fortunate to work with the good people at Rad Lab SD to act as a cultural and digital consultant of sorts on the recently opened Quartyard. Back in November they presented us with their plan to make an urban outdoor park all with the use of recycled and repurposed shipping containers. This multi-use space located right in the heart of East Village in downtown San Diego, would also serve as a beer garden, music venue and dog park playing host to a full service bar, coffee shop, restaurant and several food trucks throughout the day.  After hearing out what their goals were for the project we helped produce a series of creative assets...
