Although all the details are still coming in ... friend, photographer and top Hawaii waverider Keoki Saguibo was badly injured while surfing in Indonesia. After being found floating face down and unconscious he was revived. He was found with an extreme amount of water in his lungs and is being transported/rushed from his remote location to Singapore for medical treatment. Last month we packed up the shop van for a quick jaunt to Palm Desert where we celebrated the release of What Youth: Issue Fifteen. As we pulled into the familiar ACE Hotel parking lot, the warm, desert air welcomed us with a tight squeeze and immediately led us to the glistening pool for an evening dip. Aloha Beach Club family memebers Ryan Miller and Rutger Rosenborg are gearing up for a cross-country tour with their band, The Lulls, later this week. Along with their bandmate Cameron Wilson, Ryan and Rut will be traveling across the U.S. playing new music from their upcoming album, Island of Daughters. The Lulls begin their tour tomorrow night here in San Diego at Soda Bar alongside local band, Heavy Hawaii, and Alexander Brettin aka Mild High Club.
